Either way it's gonna feel food That... That's sick. Wash your hands! In seriousness I think medievalman's theory is a bit more believable here. Though I didn't expect them to do something as devious as pose as good guys.

Wait, are we getting so hyped and expect so much that it may turn out to dash all of our hopes and be filled with more problems than XCOM EU?
...
NAH!

Though I didn't expect them to do something as devious as pose as good guys. You really only need to look at what happened in France during WW2 to see what happens in a situation like this. Most of the French people just kept living their lives with the Nazi military occupation and their puppet French government, but there was the French resistance screwing them up at every turn. I think in the new game, the Aliens are essentually doing the same thing, but with more evil intentions.

I noticed that the little drone thing in the trailer shocked one of the human enemies, which looked suspiciously like an arc thrower shot.
Maybe that is how you recruit more guys?

Ooh, that'd be clever. Probably only a chance to convert, some of them might buy into alien propaganda and refuse.
Perhaps the more human enemies you actually kill makes ones you capture less likely to join.

I also wonder how much of Long War the Firaxis devs will take to heart. The whole "carry wounded soldiers" thing might gel really well with missions where you have no choice but to retreat. Maybe not winning every skirmish might be part of the overall design, seeing as X-COM is all underground and stuff?

Do you think we'll see any returning characters? Keeping Bradford as your second-in-command seems likely.

We'll most likely see Van Doorn in one form or another. Hell, maybe even Thorne as some kind of pro-alien politician that you have to kidnap.

From the XCOM 2 webpage. "Save fallen comrades by carrying them to the extraction point." .... Praise every god, it's finally happened. Our soldiers have finally been taught how to carry people.

God I've been gone a while.
But I'm so hyped for November for Snake men in this with that new Sectoidy thing.
