They've added a lot more to that list since I saw it last, heh.

I would like to state for the record that this document has nothing to do with why AlexD is now guarding sectoid corpses against adventurous druggies. Nothing. At. All.

"Attention personnel: Would you please stop playing with the deceased Outsider's moldable remains? It is not alien play-dough. Thank you."
And there goes any last remnant of anyone's childhood.

TFTD is bugged, no matter what difficulty you pick, it's always set the max difficulty. Enjoy! XD

TftD difficulty scaled, but the AI was definitely more aggressive though it did have its failings (never using melee weapons etc). Also research bugs. Those were the campaign killers.

And the masses of brainsuckers early game, too. Do they count as bugs even?

I just play my first ground mission and lost nearly an entire team. I was a lot better in UFO Defense xD Any advice for a rookie? Never, ever, ever under any circumstances whatsoever start a mission at night. Aliens can see in the dark much, MUCH better than you can, and your men will eat brutal sonic death as a result. Second, High Explosive ammo (for Gas Cannons and the awesome Hydro Jet Cannon) is your friend. The crappy accuracy of your aquanauts doesn't matter when you can still kill an Aquatoid with the explosion from your miss. Third, for the love of god, SPREAD OUT. Aquatoids *love* their sonic pulsars! Fourth, Gauss Weapons aren't really worth the time and effort it takes to research and manufacture them. Sonic weapons is the way to go. Fifth, Harpoon weapons suck, use Gas Cannons, Hydro Jet Cannons and a Torpedo Launcher (or two) as your main weaponry until you get sonic weapons. It's still a good idea to keep a few harpoon rifles and pistols in the squad though, for expendable scouts. Sixth, always reserve Time Units for a snap shot. ALWAYS! Seventh, an SWS (Submersible Weapon System) is worth every dollar you pay for it. Get one right away! (The Aqua Jet Torpedo version, unless you REALLY have to operate on land). Eight, make sure to check which weapons are underwater weapons BEFORE deploying to a Terror Site Ninth, don't mess with alien battleships until you've at least got sonic weaponry for your barracudas, and several of them. Your pilots (and your budget) will thank you! Tenth, save your game, FREQUENTLY!

And the masses of brainsuckers early game, too. Do they count as bugs even? Eh, brainsuckers are only dangerous if you play the turn-based game. In Real Time they're virtually harmless And if you insist on staying in turn based mode, just hire a lot of androids, they'll sort 'em right out!
